NOW she's under control. Gave up on the 6 inch motor idea, so now all you A-6 types can rest easy, and just transferred a bunch of mass aft. Made a 4.4" prop, made the skid longer and slimmer, so ROG-ing will still be possible (it does), made up a nice rear hook of 1/16 alum tube, and epoxied it on at the very tail end (7.5" motor). Slimmed down the nose as much as I dared and removed all the tailweight.
Now it flew nicely but tended to screw in, so I applied some wing twist. Easier thought of than done. The aft wing needs to have 6 joints melted and reglued, the fwd wing 5. Did them all and stuck a 1/4 x 1.6 up tab on the left rear corner just for good measure.
Now she's solid as a rock. Weight without motor is 1.67. I'll bring them both to USIC and we can play with them in our spare time.
