It was one of the better Cat 2 sites until the school mounted a bunch of
speakers on chains below the beams. I believe it's about 35 feet to the
speakers and around 45 feet to the very top. I set a bunch of junior and
senior records there (all broken by others now) in the 90's and I think a
few open records were set there during that time too. I know Andrew
Tagliafico had a couple records in that building for a while (he's in the
center of the video launching his A-6). Now most of our "official" events
are flown on quarter motors because it's almost impossible not to hang up.
A full motor flight requires a small miracle to complete.
I think attendance was announced at 22 or 23 and I know at least a few of
them are going to Kibbie. We had a few people up from California and a few
down from Seattle.
