We measured the site, and after correcting some of my initial miscalculations on fractions vs. feet/inches, we found that it is .1" under Cat III. It is also at 7000' of altitude, so there's that.
The floor layout feels like Johnson City. Wide open space - great for gliders (no scoreboard).
The air is similar to Belgrade. Lots of thermal activity during the day due to the translucent windows in the ceiling. A few years ago I would have called this "bad air". However, after getting schooled by Mr. Treger, I now see this as a new challenge to conquer. My F1D handled the thermals fairly nicely. The F1L I was proxy flying didn't.
