Gary,
Most of the other respondants have sourced my own contacts for balsa.

I don't order from UK, or out of USA. However, I do have 30-year-old wood from estate sales (our local Seattle club), some Stan's New Guinea wood, OZ wood, and some from Bruce Feaver (Hip Pocket Builders). And, Ed Seahy (MAL).

The biggest issue for me is not knowing what I am getting. We tend to be "touchy, feely" regarding balsa. I have hand searched substantial stocks at shops, checked every craft store in 30 miles (Seattle/Tacoma metro).

Of the above, Lew Gitlow was the most reliable for indoor. I found the lightest wood in craft stores, accidents of Midwest I guess. Wood over 6# or "contest" has been strictly from hobby and craft stores.

Good stuff is out there. Just don't get crazy and fill up a garage.

Bruce
