John right. I have oodles of flight records going back to the 1980s from the
Bedford Cat I site in Texas. It was just under the Cat I limit, and the best
time we ever did in LPP in there was 9:56 (still the Sr record, with black
rubber!). the site record for LPP at CS under 37' is 9:12

Plenty of other examples, the extra 11 feet of ceiling just about equals the
elevation detriment.

Spit the same design as yours, same weight, and same prop size, but that's
under a Cat I ceiling closer to sea level. Never tried it in a higher
site...

I think you're in trouble, Joshua. The altitude is a killer, and even though
the ceiling is higher, the times - for everything from HLG to F1D - are
similar to Cat 1 times.

There's only one way to know for sure, though: get yourself out there! I
don't want to speak for anyone, but you'll probably be able to get plenty of
assistance. Folks are quick to lend a ride, etc. Is Bill Gowen going?

The Magnificent Mountain Men put on a heck of a contest.
