My brother Jack lives in Brentwood, not far from Moffett Field. He's the guy- if you haven't already heard or seen (check You Tube)- that flew his spectacular 20' RC scale model of the USS Macon in one of the smaller hangars last fall. He tells me that a company- I believe it's Google?- has offered to re-skin the big hangar for free (which right now is a mere skeleton) in return for being allowed to hangar its corporate aircraft fleet there, also for free. Their proposal is currently being considered by NASA, who owns Moffett.
Lots of if's here, but it may be a glimmer of hope for the return of indoor flying at Moffett.
