A little anecdote...my daughter was in the Technology Student Association
State finals here in Colorado. They flew at the local Marriott ballroom
and there were so many banners hanging down the bottom of them was about 15'
off the floor. She looked about, wound to full turns and her model would
hit about halfway up the banner, slide down without the prop turning and then
restart as it dropped off the banner. another turn or so and she would
hit the banner half way up...and so it goes. She won by about a minute.

I'm not saying that would be the case with an F1 model, but when life gives
 you lemons...
Don DeLoach is right...join the NFFS and as a collective and search out
another site. The search should be continuous...nothing should be off the
table nor assumed permanent.

Jake, I fly F1D with VD propellers. I know the risks, and it is 100% more
usable than the places I currently use for F1D testing. You take the risk
or you don't. I'm willing to because Kibbie is impossible for me and I
enjoyed attending USIC for the first time this year enough that I'd like to go
again.
