Tapio, I read all posts on this board. Sorry, it just didn't dawn on me that you hope to arrive a more accurate area weight based on a nominal thickness mfg. spec, such as ".5 micron." Seems the mfg. nominal thicknesses (which ascend in only 10% increments) are going to be more approximate than what modelers report their film weighs upon weighing samples from their rolls. (OS, Ultrafilm, SuperUltrafilm...what other candidateas are there? Think there's one sold from Japan...)

BTW, probably a coincidence that *nominal* .3 micron film weighs .0033 mg/sq in. .5 micron film weighs .005-something mg per sq. in, etc.
