I'm a rookie at this. I will be an AM at the USIC. I have looked all over the net trying to find out WHERE the USIC is held. I need an address. I just know it is in Johnson City, TN but that is a big place for this boy from the sticks. I searched on USIC, United States Indoor Championship, and every website I could dig up. There is no coordinated site that gives all the information that I could find.
I have been out of modeling for over 45 years. Back in the '60s I was in C/L speed and FF. Now retired, I restore old model engines, mostly for MECA members. I no longer have the legs, lungs or heart to fly my old events, so I am looking at Indoor FF to give my competitive whims a try.
By the way, I will be at the contest with a load of indoor models and some supplies that I am helping a modeler's family dispose of to pay his medical bills. He gave up modeling in about 1985 after suffering injuries that left him a para-paligic. He died 3 weeks ago at 82. I knew him back in the '60s. Before the meet I am going to his home in Huntville to pick up another load. I will be back Wednesday so look me up and say Hi. I want to meet everyone. I will also be taking lots of pictures and video, one of my other hobbies. Since I know next to nothing about Indoor, please don't take too much advantage of a newbie!
