I agree....I can see the tractor VP props and canards coming real quick.
For myself, I just finished the
"dumbed down" A6 last winter. I'm not a "serious" indoor flyer and really
enjoy it...but to have A6 go the way of EZB would be sad...just a half
sized EZB
...JMHO.

I've been trying to avoid commenting on the A6 rules but I can't resist
any longer. The original rules proposal had a very tight, carefully crafted
set of rules that would have restricted the A6 class to the way that most
people understood the original concept. VP's would not have been allowed,
biplanes would not have been allowed and large stabs (like mine) would not
have been allowed. But in the last round of voting a cross proposal was
introduced that removed all of those restrictions. I'm not sure why this was done
or why so many of the indoor board members voted for it (I didn't) but
that's the set of rules that we are now governed by.

As has been said about other sets of rules "if it doesn't say you can't
then you can". It will be interesting to see what happens to A6 as a result
of this dumbing down of the rules.

Hi,

By reading A-6 rules, seems a vp hub with flat blades propeller is valid.
There is a limit on special materials, but balsa, music wire and nylon
screws arent any special and are enought for a vp hub.

26.6. The propeller shall be 6" maximum diameter with flat blades from
balsa no thinner than 1/32".

Thanks for link Fred.
