Sad news. I believe Laurie was known as the Archbishop of Cardington. I met him a couple of times there in '94 and he was very kind and encouraging of my fairly primitive efforts at EZB/F1L in his cathedral. He also designed some outstanding outdoor models (eg SCRAM) that have stood the test of time.
