Wally Miller One Design EZB
Wally Miller wanted me to mention that the original model was built by a 9 year
old, and never weighed. They expected to get a few circles at best, and were
surprised at a first flight of 3:30. Lengthening of the motor increased that to
5:00 to 5:40 flights.
Today's models have long moment arms, 50% stabs, and a CG well to the rear,
sometimes behind the TE. Wally wants to emphasize that this is a 1960's model,
with a short moment arm and a small stab. This dictates a CG of 25% back from
the nose, to fly well.
His words not mine.
