I supervised the Akron (OH) regional on Saturday, 3/5. The winner had a flight over 2:40. Second place just 17 seconds. Winner had two, two bladed rotors. Both powered. Very stable.

Interesting, Bill: I don't have a chance to read the SO rules since my
school "opted out". Now all they do is something called "TSA", make
weight carrying bridges, wind genny's and trebuchets mostly.
Go down tomorrow to see how they are doing, meet is next week and fly a
DD a bit in the gym. Need to take a MKIII down for the gym teacher, he
wants to try a " shoot it down with a frisbee" contest. :-D
