What can you tell me about the history of forming prop blades as opposed to carving props, specifically as it relates to both duration & scale? Am I correct in presuming that formed prop blades were common in the earliest days of indoor free flight (both duration & scale), when ever that was? Were they also used in outdoor free flight, too or is that relatively new? When did laminated blades first appear?
Are there any resources currently available concerning the detailed history of free flight?
