Art, What are the external dimensions of your winders? I mean the box that
contains them.

Phedon, I settled on 1-20 after input from several local indoor fliers. By
juggling sprockets I can make them 1-25, 1-15 or anything the customer wants.
Actually, the exact ratio isn't very important if you actuate your counter from
the hook shaft.

I started developing these after I realized that my K&P winder wasn't 1-20 as I
had thought, but 1-15 and I found it impossible to memorize the 15 times table.
Once a few winders were built, people strongly suggested I add a magnetic pulse
counter and I went through a lot of time and money until I found the Trumeter
7111, which is perfect for these little winders, reasonably priced ($34) and I
can pick them up at the US distributor a 20 minute drive away.
I haven't gotten down to where I've eliminated the hand tweaking, nor have I put
together a real accurate parts and material cost, But right now I'm guessing at
$75 for the winder without a counter (which doesn't make any sense to me) and
$135 with. If I can streamline the fabrication time I can bring it down a bit.
