Congratulations on F1M flight. As regards boron, I always degrease it before applying and I'm sure this helps. However, if Ambroid is the adhesive, it's still all too easy for local separation to occur. I now use Duco or similar since it has more contact strength and dry joints which cause separation areless likely to occur. I also test each component eg a wing spar by bending locallyto compress the boron and correct as necessary. Once the component passes the test without fault, it's ready for use.

find it necessary to check for small areas where separation has taken place
before each flying session. Several years ago Derek Richards suggested to me
that wiping the boron with tissue and acetone improved the bond. I think he
