The flying sessions in the Tustin hangar have really spoiled me. It's tough to fly in the Torrance HS gym! You moved back east too soon!

I cant seem to find any news talking about that. I would appreciate if anyone else knows about this, please chime in. I am also pretty sure that the "Google HQ" is really in Mountain View, CA. They do have an office in Irvine, which is located south of the Base, closer to John Wayne airport. Of course, Google helped me find that out. It also helped me find this, which is a very interesting and complete written history of both structures, Hanger 1 and 2.

I just read an article in one of my D.C.dailys about the air base. The reason that this base will no longer be available to the public is because the current administration has granted "Google" exclusive use of the facility for their aircraft, apparently rent free.

This facility is close to the "Google HQ" and very convienient for them to fly out of. Must be nice to have your own airport paid for by the citizens of the US.
