Tiny rubber slice method

Although any good rubber stripper can easily cut rubber to about .012" X .042, I have needed much smaller rubber for things such as variable diameter prop trigger or my 70 mg biplane (Bathroom Stick.) For these apps I had to depend on happy accidents to get smaller rubber. Here's something I discovered that works every time for me, but is a bit time consuming.

To split a piece of .012 X .042" rubber into 2 pieces of .012 X .021", you only need a carrier to take it through the stripper channel, So, mount the .012" piece flat on top of a piece of .042 X .042" Sport rubber. Glue it flat on top with rubber cement. Allow to dry a couple minutes. Then run that through stripper with carrier piece on top, but may not matter which on top. When split, separate the pieces with a few seconds in puddle of Naphtha. I use Harlan for this, but any good stripper may do, Of course, the piece may not bisect perfectly, so you end up with different sizes, which is good.
