Re: Re: The demise of Indoor FF
Rick Pangell,
First of all, let me introduce myself, my name Dwidahana, from Jakarta - Indonesia. A long time ago when i was kid, the aeromodelling i now is just control line, OHLG n R/C. Time past by and as a kid I just only dream about making the models. When growing up I still dont't know, where find balsa, tools, books, anything about models. Internet getting through my country about mid '90. My dream come true because I can find a lot of knowledge about building the models.
Around '80, untill earlier '90 my country have one aeroplane industry. Nurtanio, the named. Lead by a ministry research and technology, MR. Prof B.J Habibie.
On that era, the people who works in there, are very special, instead there is one thing fundamental they forgot to do.
They never build enthusiasm, the kids, young generations, to play and introduce about aeroplane.
is that related ?
Yes, Rick told us, in his letter. We forgot to carry the parents, when we introduce the kids to play with. Without the parents involved, they never know about they kids dreams. Because they only heard what they child do. They never feels the emotions.
According my experience, I concern to play rubber power now. Because that the easy, cheapest n attractive ways to let people about models. I realized to build something would never in easy and fast track. Its a long journey, meanwhile for know the kid more like to play video game at home.
For right now, It's only me in Jakarta still build n play rubber power.
The others more attract to R/C. But I still believe the rubber is still better in my perspective.
So, we better join to do what we believe ?
