What kind of model is this for? Some rolled stick methods may not work so well if you're doing a lightweight. For example, for F1d type tube, it may be a disaster to use all those masking tape pieces to tape the seam closed before gluing (as described in one of above linked articles) but wouldn't hurt much if you're using say 6 lb wood as for a Pennyplane tube. (Of course someone will say they put tape on 4lb. .013" tubes all the time.) Anyhow, don't be discouraged if the first one or two don't turn out right. Good luck.
