As I wrote in my message
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Indoor_Construction/message/6617) in
October, I bought such unit and have found it very good for measuring
both rubber and balsa. The zero point tends to drift 0.01mm negative,
but I think resolution of 0.1mm is good enough for most purposes. One
modification is needed, though: the unit comes with a rather strong
spring, that needs to be replaces with a lighter one, to avoid the
calipers from squeezing the rubber or crushing the light balsa. Short of
that, the caliper is most recommended!
