That is sad news.
I met Jack for the first time in Cardington in 1978, I flew at that time for Holland. I remebered him as a friendly generous man. I visited him once in Toronto and he invited me in his basement, a unique building temple. He gave so much goodies at that time and helped me with my building skills. He kept no secret for himself, always sharing.
I ended up moving to Canada and had the priviledge to fly with him and Mike Thomas in the WC in Moscow, ID and thanks to the brilliant flying from Jack we earned a 3rd team price. I will remember that forever.
I will miss you Jack, fly in peace forever.
