Hi Gert-Jan
For more general info - check out the articles/files and search messages for various topics in this site(IndoorConstruction) and maybe sign up for 'Indoor News and Views' which gets you online access to back years of that publication with HEAPS of articles and info, drawings etc:
http://www.indoornewsandviews.com/ and then more articles and info at:
http://www.indoorduration.com/ Tim Goldstein's site.
I have seen diagrams of home made rubberstrippers using razorblades... I don't think they work too well at all. Best buy a Harlan one (see indoor specialties below) or try to pick up a second hand one. There are various makes but the Harlan one is excellent (I have one) and the only one still in production I think. Look at both sites below for materials, tools, coverings, wood etc

There are two books available
Ron Williams Building and Flying Indoor Model Planes - there was a copy of this in my local library in the 80s and I wore it out from reading it over and over. Inspiring, beautifully written and illustrated - but some of the classes are built differently now.
Lew Gitlow's Indoor Flying Models - this will set you right with a lot of modern day techniques, charts, how-to's etc - an invaluable source if you are starting out again.
Both books are available for under US$25 ea.
When I got seriously into flying lightweights again this (above) is what I did. Read everything I could find. Ask questions on the forum. Do you know other flyers locally who can give you some first hand mentoring? Depending where you are, there may be flyers or a club that would be happy (maybe for a small charge) to strip some rubber for you initially so your costs aren't too steep first up.
I am very lucky (and grateful) to have enjoyed great support from flyers on this forum and elsewhere. Hope this helps you also
Tim
