I am not sure when F1L became a recognised class and on which side of the Atlantic... I am from Australia after all and even thermals go the other way up here :-) I am very interested in the history though and appreciate your research - keep going! I don't think Aeromodeller is online anywhere - but happy to be corrected. I have Aeromodeller for all 1961 - which was the year of the first International indoor world champs. The year I was born also. (I started my subscription early... ) I'll have a look at my 90's issues to see what's there...
