The way I always did motors was by length and weight of the finished
motor. On the 65cm F1D models I needed 14" long loops that weighed 1.4
grams. So the actual rubber width varied from batch to batch, sometimes
a.070" wide was enough, for other batches up to .075" wide was needed to
get the correct weight and length. The only thing I really use the
rubber cut width for is for organizing the tied motors and untied rubber
strip for storage. Each of my motor bags is labeled with length, motor
weight, width, and rubber batch. I never really used grams/ meter or
similar, all I care about is the finished weight and length.
