Dave Linstrum was known as VTO for the longest time. He had a FF column in one of the mags, for decades, before FF was cool. All of the time he was one of the Mainstays in Doc Martin's MIAMA club, and since I am archiving Doc's Hangar Pilot newsletter, I can attest to Dave's herculean building, drawing, and writing skills.

It is a shame that, often, we come to be known for some small outburst, quote, or e-mail (I know all about THAT), But Mr. Linstrum is in a wheelchair now, in poor health, and I would rather remember him for the incredible things he's done, before many of you were born, in support of our hobby.

Once again, be very careful when you hit that "send" button, to whom it is going. I know I sure am.
