WOW, John, how simple and functional.
I had fits getting wing posts rounded until Bill Gowen came through with photos and a video of a beautiful metal device he made for the job. I managed to make a copy out of hardwood and with my trusty variable Dremel tool now round wing posts with little difficulty. I still have copies of all those units if anybody needs them. The video is in the files section under the name Post Maker.wmv

The device is not foolproof, the important thing is not to let the post get too deep into the thin end of the vee where it will jamb and break.
