*MCAS **Tustin** Indoor Contest and Record Trials*
*Tustin**, **California** April 2010*

If you are in contact with the following, please pass on this
information to:

Andy Bandy
Bill Bennett
Mark Levoe
Warren Williams
Max Zaluska

*Contest and Record Trials Information:*
All AMA and FAI Cat. IV indoor events may be flown. Certificates will be
awarded for all events with 3 or more entrants.
Reminder- record attempts, outside of the contest flights, must have 2
timers per AMA and FAI rules.

*Hangar Rules:*
Due to occupancy restrictions for this event, by the owners, you MUST be
pre-registered and on "THE LIST" to enter the base.

Absolutely no arguing with the CD, the job is hard enough. You may
discuss your point and then accept the decision.

NO smoking inside the building. Smoking is allowed outside but not
within 50 ft of any structure.

Carry out all trash, including cigarette butts.

NO running inside the building, except during a hand launch.

NO pets.

There is no water. There is no electricity. There will be a porta-potty.

There are good skylights but you might want to bring a battery powered
work light.

Tables and chairs will not be available.

Models that get stuck in the rafters, or on the mezzanine, are lost.
There is NO climbing to retrieve a model. There should be some long
poles and helium available.

Do not go within 50 ft. of the construction curtains toward the north
end. Do not take any photos of the construction, even in the background.
Do not allow a model to go into that area. Everyone will need to sign a
Non Disclosure Agreement about that construction.

Keep the doors closed as much as possible. The opening of a door can
disturb the air for several minutes.

*Accommodations:*
Motel 6 Irvine is about 1 mile from the hangar. 1717 East Dyer Road,
Santa Ana, CA 92705. This is the most remarkable Motel 6 that I have
ever seen. Highly recommended and special contest rates. Be sure to
mention the Blimp Hangar. (949) 261-1515

*Directions:*
Google Map will get you there by inserting "Marine Corps Air Station,
Tustin", must spell it all out.

From there please utilize the local directions to the hangar.
Take I-5 Fwy south to Red Hill, south of the 55 Fwy
South on Red Hill, 2 miles, to Valencia Ave
Left onto Valencia, 1/4 mi to Armstrong
Right on Armstrong (on Google, this is marked Cross St.), 1/4 mi to dead
end, Left through Gate 14

*Gate Information:*
The locked gate, number 14, is a mile from the hangar. *It is imperative
that you arrive and depart at the scheduled times*. The gate will be
locked at all other times. Some exceptions can be made on Thursday and
for emergencies.
Observe the 10 mph speed limit.
