I took covering lessons from the Master - Mark F1diddler.
Look in the Files section under "How to Cover" and you will see Mark's method listed first followed by my old method - which is easier (quicker) but doesn't give results as dependable as Mark's.
Also if you're covering something really light - like F1D, EZB, 35cm, etc. - my method is pretty much unacceptable.
Basically I just got sick to death of having to compete against models that looked so good I was ashamed to fly mine! Nowadays my models look pretty good until I get to the flying site and stick my finger or a steering pole through them.

I didn't mean to bring up the BOM issue. In any case, your plane is very nice. May be some day you'll let me touch it! I would love to see if fly. Compared to yours, my LPP looks like it was salvaged from the junkyard -- fortunately, it flies okay.
How do you cover your wing so tightly with not even the smallest sag?
