Bill, is that legal, I thought I remembered the rules listing only wood
or wood products for the structure.

I've got 3 new LPP wings on the board using a stacked pair of .020 carbon
rods each for the LE and TE spars. The rods are tacked together in a few
places with CA and then glued full length with Duco. Sanding a slight
taper into the ends brings them down to .25 grams each. This is really
easy to do and results in indestructible spars that all have the same
deflection. They weigh less and are stiffer than the .030 tubes I've used
in the past.

Ya, at these (heavy) weights, boron prolly amounts to only an
insignificant drag reduction (due to slightly smaller sizes needed.) But
considering the additional fragility boron brings, probably not worth it.
Yet I like boron in my OPP bipe wing, maybe only due to the skinnier
"look."
