This is a common "press connect" pneumatic fitting used in any machinery automation field. One such supplier is SMC, website here:

Other suppliers are Parker, Festo, Legris. They all make different colors of the same basic thing. It is merely an inline tubing connector and a plug.
I have supplied John Kagan, Brett Sanborn and others with these in the past. I forget what size the guys liked, I think the size for 3/8" diameter OD tube. I can bring some along as goodies to Tustin for anyone that wants them. If you have trouble finding them in your neck of the woods let me know and I will get some to you.
