Seems the .300g/100 sq" is available only in the personal stashes of those who bought some in some yesteryear. Ray Harlan's IndoorSpecialties.com (normally the best in anything) presently lists his c-paper at .397g/100sq". (25% heavier)

And neither is balsa "balsa." I have 25 ft roll of .695g/100 sq" c-paper purchased from what is now "A2Z." Was probably not misadvertised at the time, but free to a good home to anyone who wants it. My esaki tissue is only 9% heavier but 2-3x stronger.

Good materials become available, THEN they are not available. This has always been the nature of competitive indoor. No "B.S. handshakes" involved. Indoorists usually inform each other of when and where such-and-such is available. Those who don't buy, or don't pay attention, it sucks to be them if they expect to have the premium materials some years later (ie, wood, rubber, covering, maybe even glue.) If the above process drives people away from competitive indoor FF, there are other "kinder, gentler, easier" genres available.

<<aren't widely varying grades of produce plastic. Any intelligence on this? >>

They do vary. The lightest and also fairly common (in Midwest) is .350g/100sq". This same or similar material as "painters drop cloth" may be found as ".25 mil" which is .300g/sq". Coincidentally this is also the weight of light unobtanium condenser paper. Can't really speak for dry cleaner plastic, but I think it's a bit above .25 mil.
