Don,
Looks like drinking straw sleeves are widely used on several events including Bostonian, Mini-Stick, P-24, and probably many others. These are intended to be "torque savers", not torques burners, by minimizing the likelihood of knots stopping a prop. Are O-rings rubber motor aids?

Subject: [Indoor_Construction] A-6 proposal
Do my proposed AMA A-6 rules need clauses specifically banning:
--microfilm?
--torque burners, a la Easy B rule 19.2.11? Interestingly this wording would ban the drinking straw sleeves that some top flyers use. Can't say I don't agree with such an all-encompassing ban on rubber motor "aids." Definitely not in keeping with the spirit and intent of A-6.
Thoughts?
I can make changes to the basic proposal until March 15.
