The 1949 Plymouth Internats had a paper covered Class A ROG event for Novice (13yr max).
Like virtually all events at the time it had flowery language stating that stab area in excess of 50% of wing area was to be considered as wing area. Seems fairer than outlawing tandems, and would be consistant with other events. There were no wt rules so no one even approached 50%, much less go for a 22.5sqin tandem.

The rules of teh current proposal as written have at least 6 loopholes I
can see. One has been pointed out by Mark in regards to the foam. If
people are not happy with the proposal as submitted then you have until
March 15 to file a different A-6 proposal. Just because one version of
A-6 has been proposed does not mean that is the only one that can be
voted on. Write up a new set of rules and propose it.
