I agree with Bill Gowen. Since the Indoor_construction group is said to have helped decide the no-film rule, I vote to amend the A6 rules to allow film in addition to the other coverings. I do not think we should be slaves to what might very well be an incorrect perception by newcomers. I think A6 with film will be easier to build than with paper covering.

While there may be some advantges to plastic, I remain against allowing it, simply because it is preceived by many newcomers to be more difficult than tissue covering. And A-6 is an entry level duration event. Also, A-6 is one of the more popular events at local indoor events and at the USIC. I suggest that it is working well as it is & should be left that way.

The original idea of A-6 was to have an event that was an "easy" event and everyone knew that working with plastic film was much more difficult than paper. I think if you will ask anyone who flies A-6 about whether paper covering makes the event "easier" you will get the choice of "no" or "no" with some modifiers in front of it.

This gives a more streamlined leading edge but I cannot say if it is better or worse. I guess I could also build a tapered leading edge as long as it was large enough to contain a 1/16" square.
