If the steering around launch in order to rescue a poorly trimmed or riskily trimmed model continues toward becoming de rigeur, and is (as Euro reports appear) a trend toward a fudging culture (ie the WC pilot's meeting that interpreted tail bumping as being "close enough" to from-the-front steering,) then yes, that makes a mockery of the intent of steering--drift, obstacles, other models. I will prefer to stay closer to home where I risk less and expect less. So it's not so much about my one minute suggestion, which is obviously a little arbitrary.
