Well put, John: As Dave's query was about a wind genny different things
apply, there are a few web sites that show genny props cut from plastic
pipe that work more or less. The problem is that the pitch of a genny
prop approaches zero to develop maximum rotational speed from the
airflow, its called "tip speed ratio". A lot of "real" turbines like
for powering houses or similar fave the prop tip almost negative in
pitch depending on the airfoil instead. The whole idea is to get
maximum rotational speed from whatever wind is there "pushing" the
prop. Lots of stuff on the web to google

wombat.
