I've also tried 4 strand indoor motors a few times, and it was okay, and presumably I enjoyed a few more turns due to 1/4 the knot size volume. However, it's a big PIA for contest or record trial use. First, you have to measure 4X than normal length of rubber, then divide by 4 in order to associate that length or weight with a comparable 2 strand motor. Then you have to thread the strand through two o rings, what, four times? Fine if you do all that at home, but not worth it when precious indoor time is a-wastin', IMO.
