I forgot to answer about the attachment. The 3 strand motors have an o-ring each end. One end of the rubber is tied to one o-ring with 2 half hitches. The rubber goes through the second o-ring, back through the first o-ring and is tied to the second one. Picture is attached.

  The Nov. '09 issue of "Free Flight" had information about Bill Gowen's record setting F1M including some motor data.
   It was flown with a 3 strand motor, 39 cm long weighing 1.47 grams. My questions are:
  I see the three strands in the photo, but how is the motor is attached to the prop hook & rear hook? I.E. How are the two loose ends of the rubber attached to the hooks?
  Also, I assume the 39 cm length is 1/3 of the total length of the rubber strip. Correct?
  If this is true, I estimate the cut dimension of the rubber to be approx. 0.032". Correct?
