I have flown there with Kurt and a few others. It isn't too bad for gliders although do not expect your times to be great. I also flew some overweight No-Cals and A-6's, drift was a MAJOR problem. I don't know what the current CD's policy is concerning steering but when I flew no one was doing so. I have also flown when FF was not invited and even light weight r/c models ( sub one ounce ) got blown around quite a bit. YMMV
