Re: Re: 2 New Record flight videos
Aki
You are very well placed with venues; much more so than we are! My only visit to Japan was to Nagoya for the 1984 Indoor World Champs. The conditions in the Dome there in October were very good as was the weather outside. If I remember correctly, the ceiling height was about 33 -35m.

Hi Max san,

Yes, Nagahama Dome must be one of best cat3 sites in the world. If the
rolled nets could be removed from the ceiling, it would become a much better
one.
It was a big betting for me to go to Nagahama Dome because no one had ever
flown a rubber powered model there and no one know of the air.
Outside whether was very good, warm, cloudy and light wind.
My F1M drifted about 10m or so from launch to about 15m high, and drifted
only 5m or so at the ceiling. This was the reason why the 1st flight ended
hanging up the rolled net at about 23m high. At 2nd flight, I moved the
launching point and got a safe and perfect flight.
There are many large domes here in Japan, but the officials (timers, etc)
are too small to host an international contest.
Good flying, Aki
