Try this:

Put some white glue on the joint, press it together, take it apart and then put a tiny bit of thin CA on the wet glue and put it back together. It should set up quite quickly and solve your problem. The heat of the CA setting will set the white glue before it can be absorbed by the wood or foam yet it will still stick.

Anyone know any tricks for gluing gray spongy "foam rubber" to balsa? Everything I've tried (glue types) either soaks into the interior of the foam, or shrinks up the foam a bit, giving poor contact with wood. Epoxy kinda works, but tries to do both of the above.
TIA.
