Always done that, yet my can has started to spray "threads".

Hmm, then I would need to learn a new covering method :-( This far I
have only unrolled the covering on a sheet of clean newspaper, used
clean fingers to spread it out and smooth all wrinkles. Then applied
glue on the frame, placed it (upside down) on the film, rolled one spar
to the film, rolled the other, and cut the wing/tail free. The ribs need
to bend/flatten a bit while the surface rolls on the film, but I have
not broken a single rib in the process thus far.
