Andrew T. asked me to post the following. He has just returned from a visit to the Kibbie Dome to see what is happening and to talk to the people in charge of the project. The West end is about 2/3rds completed and is to be finished by this Fall (along with a million dollar overrun). Andrew said the ends are being replaced with glass (plastic?) 9" thick which will let in a huge amount of light and are going to be beautiful. It looks like the East end and luxury suites, etc. will be on hold for awhile as a good deal of money is still to be raised.
Andrew said that at this point it looks like we will be back in next July. He said he will be sending out some information on the situation soon. Google up "Kibbie Dome" to see a couple of videos on the renovation.
