On our SO stuff, we got rid of the Ikara nosepiece, remounted with
"pigtails". IIRC, that Ikara prop hanger has or can cause problems.
FWIW, I only use 10 t0 12 lb/sq ft balsa on the Dennydart motorstick -
1/8" x 3/8" - and 3/32 tan SS wound to one turn under breaking.
