You have an uphill battle. When I say I fly model airplanes, almost
everyone assumes that I fly RC. When I say I fly indoor model
airplanes, most ask how you can fly models with gas engines indoors,
less so these days with more awareness of electrics. I explain and
they are facinated and maybe attend a fly, but that's it.
I think that the attention span of most people is getting shorter and
shorter. It's not so much that people can't concentrate and do longer
term things, but that they decide that they would rather do shorter
things. Indoor is hard. The skills required are not things that many
people have. You have to see decently well, have to have fairly steady
hands, have to be capable of keeping track of many details.
