I go to the hardware store, buy a tube of Duco, build models, models fly, models stay together, models win contests occasionally. Why does this have to be so hard?

TCP is a standard plasticizer for Ambroid - 3 -4 drops per oz. I ordered a 12 pack (Ambroid) from Horizon and sold about half. My cost was $4.25 each. Unless you use it for outdoor, a couple 3.2 oz go forever. Sigment is supposed to be the same. Duco no longer acts the same.
Here's what I did first (after not finding any in stores):
1. The official homebrew is 1 ping-pong ball (were celluloid) per 1 oz of acetone. I tracked down the official approved world champs brand at 3-star (quality only) who say the formula (colloid) is same as 1952, eg. cellulose nitrate. These balls are about $5 - $6 each.
1.5 Cheap chinese balls are vinyl, stick if you like white dusty stuff at the joint, and have a 3x glue joint face to work with. Pretty bad.
2. Celluloid trinkets are all over the place, in people's collections of pre-1955 memorabilia.
3. Order Ambroid if you are a purist and bum some Peck Polymers TCP from another flyer.
