John,

Thanks for the extra support. My son and I worked on the first glider last night. He was SUPER excited. He could hardly sit still to help me sand the horizontal stab. It's a foamie, based on the Thermal Scout design, but made with 1/4" foam like you would find at a hardware store for insulation.

It worked up pretty well. I will send some pictures when we are done.

Is there a competition category for foamies?

> The indoor nationals are in Johnson City, TN at the end of May. Mapquest says it is a just over 4 hour drive for you. Lots of great stuff to see - and, if you get some gliders built, you get to fly, too. I've got a feeling there is a trophy or certificate in the box somewhere that just might end up in your son's hands.
