Need help.

Hello

I just joined the group. I'm a middle school technology education
teacher in N.Virginia. I've been doing Team America Rocket Challenge
for the past few years with students after school. I took this year
off due to health reasons. Students were not very successful so I
want to do something different (more fun and successful) for this
coming next school year.

 I built a stick flyer in college (18 yrs ago) and haven't built one
since. I have been teaching aerodynamic and used the Delta Dart with
my students.

My first question is what would be a good starting stick plan to
build with 6-8 grade (11 – 13 years old) middle school students.

Second. Is there any national or local contest available for students?
