Prodded by a phone call from Tony Italiano (father of USIC-as-we-know-
it), I'm putting out a call for USIC participants.

This could be a tough year. The economy is worse than last time
(although gas is cheaper).

I haven't heard of any threat to USIC from AMA, but common sense says
that if our participation dwindles the event might be in jeopardy.

The best way to ensure its future is for everyone to come and enjoy
it. I see a bunch of names on this list that have been missing out.

One of the complaints for this particular site is the event
timeslots. I actually like it because it encourages me to fly some
different events. But if you don't want to, there is space on either
side for other flying. I don't have any authority to grant
permission this year, but as long as you aren't flying something so
heavy that it threatens everything nearby, I don't think that there
would be many objections.

So build a couple extra planes and come enjoy five great days of
flying. Talk a friend or two into coming, also. Help sustain one of
the great Indoor FF contests.

I just sent in my registration. Who else is going?
